About Game - Zombie Survivors
Zombie Survivors is a roguelike horde-survival game you can play free in the browser. From the Map tab you start Chapter 1 Suburban Forest, spend 5 energy on Start Game, and walk a grassy field while packed weapons fire around you. Kills drop blue XP gems and fill a Choose screen: three cards such as mines, loudspeakers, molotovs, darts, or tennis balls, each with a star rank and a Refresh ad reroll. A Combine: line can appear under a card when it pairs with something already packed; specific weapon-and-gear pairs raise a weapon to a hidden rank with a stronger attack. Between runs the hub holds energy, gold, purple gems, a Chapter Treasure Chest, Shop, and Equipment.
How to Play - Zombie Survivors
Your first match is one chapter: pay 5 energy, move on the grass, and pick weapons on Choose until the bottom bar reaches the boss icon.
- 1Open Map — The hub defaults to Map. Chapter 1 is Suburban Forest, with Best: 00:00 until you finish a run. A Chapter Treasure Chest sits under the island. Shop and Equipment are the other unlocked tabs; two slots stay locked.
- 2Start Game — The yellow button costs ⚡ x5. Energy, gold, and purple gems sit on the top bar (early amounts such as 30 / 3000 / 100).
- 3Move while weapons fire — You walk the field. Packed gear shoots, burns, or orbits on its own. Blue diamonds on the grass are XP. The top bar shows a timer, a skull kill count, coins, and your level on the XP strip.
- 4Choose three cards — When you level, Choose pauses the field. Cards can be New weapons or star upgrades on something you already have. The left row is weapons; the right row is passives such as a magnet or Target.
- 5Refresh if the trio is wrong — A blue Refresh button with a clapper icon rerolls the three cards. It can ask for an ad.
- 6Read Combine: before you tap — A Combine: line with an icon (such as a knife) can sit under a card. That is the pairing hint for a hidden rank, not a fourth pick.
- 7Last the bottom bar — A bar at the bottom fills toward a boss head (1% at the start of a run, later 10%, 28%, 67%). A small red HP bar sits under your character. The run ends when that HP is gone or the bar reaches the boss.
Core gameplay
Each run is a timed field clear. You pick weapons as you level, Combine for a hidden rank, and spend hub currencies between chapters.
Horde on the grass
Green zombies in striped shirts, mummies, miners with pickaxes, and red hounds close in from every side. Kill counts climb fast — 152 at 1:01, 1,181 at 2:49, 8,067 at 6:44 — while XP gems and gold drop on the dirt.
Choose: weapons and passives
Choose offers three cards with a 0–5 star rank. Early New picks include Molotov Cocktail, Tennis, Mine Arrester (satellite strike), and Loudspeaker (short-range sound wave). Darts can upgrade in place. The left slots are active weapons; the right slots are passives.
Combine and hidden rank
A Combine: hint can appear under a card, showing an icon of gear you already packed. Specific weapon-and-equipment pairs raise that weapon to a hidden rank and unlock a stronger attack. The hint is the pairing, not an extra card you take for free.
Refresh
Refresh rerolls the current trio. It does not add a fourth pick and can be ad-gated. Use it when none of the three cards fit an empty slot or a Combine you want.
Hub: energy, chest, Shop, Equipment
Between runs, energy pays Start Game. Gold and purple gems sit next to it. Chapter Treasure Chest is on the Map island. Shop and Equipment are separate bottom tabs. Those are the between-run skill and upgrade screens; they are not the in-match Choose overlay.
Look and setting
Zombie Survivors is a top-down cartoon field with blocky survivors, green zombies, and overlapping weapon rings. The HUD keeps the timer, XP bar, kill count, and Choose cards on screen when you level.
Suburban Forest
The Map island is a small grass patch with a tree, utility poles, and a purple zombie in a suit. In a run the camera is a flat green field with tufts of grass, fire patches from molotovs, and XP diamonds.
Survivor and the pack
You are a small figure in a cowboy hat. Drones, a yellow energy circle, a blue flame ring, and orbiting blades can stack around you. Enemies are green walkers, hardhat miners, bandaged mummies, and red dogs.
Reading the HUD
Top center is the timer. The XP strip ends in your level. A skull is kills; coins are in-match gold. Choose uses two rows of slots above the cards. The bottom bar walks a zombie icon toward a horned boss. Pause is top right.
Tips
Early mistakes are starting without a second weapon, tapping Choose without reading Combine:, or spending Refresh before you know which slot is empty.
Fill a weapon slot first
The first Choose often shows New Molotov or Tennis next to an upgrade on Darts. An empty left-row slot wants a new weapon more than a second star on the knife.
Read Combine: before you pick
If a card shows Combine: and an icon you already packed, that pick is the hidden-rank path. Taking a random New instead can skip the stronger attack the pairing was built for.
Refresh is a reroll, not a bonus card
Refresh replaces the three cards. It does not let you take all three. Save it for a trio that fills nothing you can use.
Watch the bottom bar, not only the kill count
Kills can pass a thousand while the bar is still under 30%. The boss icon at the end of that bar is the chapter clock. HP is the small red bar under you, not the percentage on the left.
Spend hub energy on purpose
Start Game is 5 energy. The chest, Shop, and Equipment tabs are between-run upgrades. Do not dump energy into a second run before you open the chest the tutorial hand is pointing at.
