About Game - Nightmare Jungle
Nightmare Jungle is a jungle survival-defense game you can play free in the browser. You control a survivor in a pine clearing: chop wood, feed the campfire, place Cannons, and hold Highest Wave against lantern-headed monsters. Between matches you spend gold on Attack and Chop Rate, unlock Ranged and Pet slots, and come back to named stages such as Level 1 Ghost Marriage. Early runs are short because attack is low and wood is scarce; later waves are the surround-and-clear loop the upgrade screen is built for.
How to Play - Nightmare Jungle
Your first match is one clearing: chop, light the fire, drop a Cannon, and see how far Highest Wave goes before the pack closes in.
- 1Open Battle — The hub defaults to the Battle tab. Level 1 is Ghost Marriage. Normal Mode is available from the start; Night Mode stays locked until later.
- 2Move with the joystick — Drag the virtual stick to walk the clearing. The first jobs are chopping trees and picking up drops, not standing still.
- 3Feed the campfire — The campfire in the clearing asks for wood or meat, up to 30. Keep it running; it is the light radius you fight around.
- 4Build a Cannon — Empty Cannon circles show a wood or gold cost. The first one is 45 wood. Place it before the wave count climbs.
- 5Hold Highest Wave — A match tracks Highest Wave out of 5. Lantern-headed monsters close in; melee swings and Cannons clear them while you stay in the circle.
- 6Use Secret Relics — Sword and pickaxe slots sit at the top right during a run. Relics stay equipped for that match.
- 7Spend gold between runs — Open Upgrade. Attack and Chop Rate show gold prices on the buttons. Ranged unlocks at 360 gold, Pet at 1150. Skin is a separate button.
- 8Grow the camp — Build lists Cave, Catapult, and Campfire at Lv.1, plus Craft and a Daily Chest. Power is shown above the grid.
Core gameplay
Each run is a wave hold in one clearing. Between runs, gold turns into Attack, Chop Rate, and camp buildings so the next hold lasts longer.
Wave defense in the clearing
Highest Wave counts to 5. Lantern-headed orange monsters pour into the pines. You win a run by living through the track, not by leaving the circle to chase stragglers.
Cannons, campfire, and Gold Mine
Cannon circles start at 45 wood, then later prices such as 100 gold or 6 wood. The campfire needs fuel up to 30. Gold Mine is a later wood sink at 50. Locked Cannons stay locked until the listed cost is paid.
Secret Relics
During a match, Secret Relic slots at the top right hold a sword and a pickaxe. They are match loadout, not the Upgrade tab's Melee / Ranged / Pet row.
Between-run upgrades
Upgrade has Melee (a leafed stick at 15), a Ranged slot locked at 360 gold, and a Pet slot locked at 1150. Attack and Chop Rate have their own gold buttons. That gold comes from surviving waves, not from the Build craft row.
The five-tab hub
The bottom bar is PK, Upgrade, Battle, Build, and Relics. Battle is the default home: stage card, Normal / Night Mode, and Play. Build shows camp Power and the structure grid. Relics and PK sit on the same bar but are not the first-match loop.
Look and setting
Nightmare Jungle is a top-down pine clearing with thick outlines, a dark cave mouth, and a campfire radius. The HUD keeps gold, wood, Highest Wave, level, and Secret Relics on screen while you fight.
The clearing
Evergreen trees close in around a small grass patch. A cave sits at the back. Cannon, campfire, and Gold Mine circles are drawn on the dirt so you can read costs without opening a menu.
Survivor and lantern-heads
The player is a pale girl in a white shirt and black skirt. Enemies are orange lantern- or pumpkin-headed packs with yellow eyes. Damage numbers pop on melee swings; a virtual joystick sits at the bottom.
Reading the HUD
Top left is gold and wood. Top center is Highest Wave 0/5–5/5 and the run level bar. Top right is Secret Relic plus settings. Between matches, the hub shows gold and gems instead, with Ghost Marriage on the Battle card.
Tips
Early losses come from standing still, skipping the first Cannon, or spending gold on locked slots before Attack can keep you alive in a pack.
Treat the first runs as gold farms
Attack starts low and survival is short. Die, take the gold, raise Attack and Chop Rate, then go back in. Wave 5 is not the first-session goal.
Chop before you fight
The first Cannon is 45 wood. If you only kite monsters, you never drop it. Chop while the wave count is still low, then stand in the Cannon circle.
Optional ad rewards speed the early climb
Rewarded ads can add gold or materials in the hub. Use them to push Attack and Chop Rate through the short-survival stretch, not as a substitute for placing a Cannon.
Unlock Ranged and Pet after Attack
Ranged is 360 gold and Pet is 1150. If a pack still deletes you in a few seconds, those slots wait. Attack and Chop Rate are the cheaper buttons that make the surround-and-clear feel possible.
Night Mode is a later toggle
On the Battle tab, Night Mode sits next to Normal and starts locked. Clear and upgrade on Normal first; Night Mode is the same stage with a higher threat, not a different map layout.
